Dental Implants Kansas City

Providing Implant Teeth to the Kansas City Metro Area

Dental Implants are designed to provide a foundation for replacement teeth that look, feel and function like natural teeth. Mission Office Phone Number: Keith + Associates Dentistry Phone Number 913-384-0044

The Benefits of Dental Implants

The person who has lost teeth regains the ability to eat virtually anything and can smile with confidence, knowing that teeth appear natural and that facial contours will be preserved. The implants are tiny titanium posts which are placed into the jaw bone where teeth are missing. The bone bonds with the titanium, creating a strong foundation for artificial teeth. In addition, dental implants can help preserve facial structure, preventing the bone deterioration which occurs when teeth are missing.

Dental implants are changing the way people live! With them, people are rediscovering the comfort and confidence to eat, speak, laugh and enjoy life.

Ready to Reclaim Confidence in Your Smile?

Evaluation for Dental Implants

If, like many others, you feel implant dentistry is the choice for you, we ask that you undergo a complimentary dental/radiographic examination and health history. During these consultation visits, your specific needs and considerations will be addressed by our doctors. We will then consult with your dentist for the placement of the implant. Implants are really a team process between our doctors, your dentist and you. Your questions and concerns are important to us and our team will work with you very closely to help make your procedure a success.

Dental Implant Procedure

Dental implants are metal anchors, which act as tooth root substitutes. They are surgically placed into the jaw bone. Small posts are then attached to the implant, which protrude through the gums. These posts provide stable anchors for artificial replacement teeth.

For most patients, the placement of dental implants involves two surgical procedures. First, implants are placed within your jaw bone. For the first three to six months following surgery, the implants are beneath the surface of the gums, gradually bonding with the jaw bone. You should be able to wear a temporary. At the same time, in conjunction with our dental lab we will design the final crownbridgework or denture, which will ultimately improve both function and aesthetics.

After the implant has bonded to the jaw bone, the second phase begins. Your dentist will uncover the implants and attach a small healing collar. Our doctors can then start making your new teeth. An impression must be taken. Then posts or attachments can be connected to the implants. The replacement teeth are then made over the posts or attachments.

The entire procedure usually takes six to eight months, but you will have a temporary tooth throughout the process. Most patients do not experience any disruption in their daily life nor do they have an unpleasing hole in their smile.

Unfortunately like the other reviews suggest, this place only seems to care about one thing—the money. It is such a... shame because I adore my hygienist, Taylor. You just have to get past the front staff and billing department, both equally unpleasant. They will also send random bills months after your date of service claiming you have a “past due balance” while threatening collections. This to me is not a business that values their patients.read more

I have been a client of Keith and Associates for many years. I have always enjoyed the practice and the relationship... with my dentist. Now I find them to be efficient, however since they have enlarged the practice and taken on an entire floor of the building, I am beginning to feel more like I am in a dental factory. Pricing has increased and it is always suggested to get additional preventive this and that. I haven’t even seen a dentist in my last 2 visits. Always before, after a cleaning, my long term dentist (Don Keith), would stop by, do a quick check and say hello. Now, even if I see a dentist, it is always someone different. No relationship, only feeling like a number now. When making my last appointment I specifically specified that I wanted to visit with Don before he retired. When checking out, I told the girl at the desk that I had made my appointment for that reason and didn’t see him. She simply ignored my comment, saying he was not the doctor doing dental checks that day. Sometimes bigger isn’t really better. My suggestion would to be for them to add a little more heart back in the practice.read more

They just do things for the money! I have been going to this place for over 20 years, back when it was Keith and Wilson... on the second floor and they knew you by name. They were awesome then. Now I can't say that. They don't discuss the extra stuff with you they just do it and expect you to pay. When I went in for a normal cleaning I was informed that they were going to do a laser treatment. What!?!? They hadn't even seen me in 6 months and it was never discussed in the last visit. When I questioned it the hygienist became rude and so I left. This wasn't the first time that they said I was there for one thing and when I go to pay the bill it's for that plus other things. They might do a good job BUT you're going to pay, and pay , and pay, and pay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!read more

An amazing experience from stepping into the clean inviting office to walking past all the state of the art equipment... into a cozy private space to be overwhelmed by new technology. Where has this cool stuff been my whole life? The best part is the positive attitudes and a feeling that the team enjoys working together. I'll be back twice a year for sure.read more

Dr. Jonathan was great! He seems a very thoughtful capable addition to your practice. He listened, researched my... chart, and took swift action. Because I had so many questions, my cleaning got interrupted and wasn’t as thorough as usual. Only half my mouth got cleaned in the process. I was a late in the day appointment too. 🤷🏻‍♂️read more

Today was my 6monthly appointment with Paige/Hygenist and I will have repeat appointments with her for the future... because she does such a great job. She’s very thoughtful and considerate but most importantly, she was entirely thorough and made my visit today a pleasant one! Not an easy task when we all know the Dentist as a destination typically, gives us concerns for the outcome! I also met Dr.Jonathon for the first time and he was extremely pleasant and helpful with thoughts on future options for dental care ~ so thank you to him. I rate today’s visit 5 stars.read more

I know several people who go here and love it, so I finally made an appointment for myself. I just wish I'd done it... sooner - so impressed by my experience there! Making an appointment online was easy, I hadn't even sat down yet in the waiting room when the hygienist came to get me, all of their staff was wonderful and the equipment was very high tech. I've had a lot of dental work done, but they had things I'd never seen before. I can't say enough good things about them!read more
